You live in one of my favorite areas. I know that because I have visited your area many times and spent 20 years servicing heat pumps South of you in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties. I also had my own pool in Florida, so I know what your needs are. So many of you have beautiful tropical back yards where you can relax, entertain family and friends and of course swim. The rest of the country might not believe it, but your pool water is too cold to swim comfortably in the winter for most of you. For some the pool water is too hot in the summer to be refreshing. You need an economical heat pump that is designed specifically for your environment and location. I know the best ones that can take the heat, sun, humidity and salt air the best and that have the best warranties for your area. I would not let you buy one that will be a rust bucket in 5 years. I know that you also get some cool weather at night in the winter. Many brands of heat pumps shut down at 55 degrees when you need them the most. That is not cool. I know the ones that will keep heating down to 32 degrees. You also have some of my favorite heat pump factories in your back yard. Great if you ever need service.
